Allergic eyes will easily get swollen. Indoor and outdoor allergies will release histamines into your system. Besides, eye infection and blepharitis will also result in eye swelling. Conjunctivitis is a contagious infection that can be triggered by allergens, contact lenses, environmental irritants, eyes drops, even ointments. Eye stye is also a common reason why people suffer from eye swelling. Other factors that may cause this problem in eyes are things such as crying, sleeping, or too much sodium in a diet.
