You had better not use rubbing alcohol to clean your eyeglasses. Most of eyeglasses has a coating on the surface. This coating can resist glare and some other harmful light. And rubbing alcohol is a kind of harsh solvent which may easily break down the coating. However, sometimes rubbing alcohol can still be used to clean eyeglasses. That is when you get some stain on your glasses. Then it will be a good way to clean your eyeglasses with rubbing alcohol. Remember to rinse your glasses after you clean them with rubbing alcohol. Hope this worked.

Actually, I don' t suggest you to do that. But I guess it depends. It depends on the material of your glasses. The coating of your glasses are very important. Most good glasses have good coating such as anti reflective coating. If you use rubbing alcohol to clean it, the surface will be damaged. And the use of the coating will be no longer working. However, if your lense are contaminated with some stubborn stains, you can choose rubbing alcohol to clean them. But remember to rinse your glasses with clean water after that. But glasses with a UV coating, glare resistant coating, or scratch resistant coating should not be cleaned with rubbing alcohol. The best way for you is to take your glasses to an eyewear shop. I am sure you will get a satisfying result.
